Our Lady of the Rosary Church

The Department of Religious Education serves the Our Lady of the Rosary parish community by educating, providing sacramental preparation, and deepening the faith of people of all ages. The religious education of children, commonly known as CCD or Catechism, is only one of this department's many programs. The program is led by a Director of Religious Education, a professional in the field. The Director is supported by a secretary, and a large staff of volunteer teachers, aides, and team members. We encourage you to read on to learn of the many programs that are offered, and we hope that you will find one that you'd like to be involved in.

My name is Camila Magdaleno. I have been involved with Religious Education for over 20 years. I have a B.A. in Religious Studies and an M.A. in Counseling. I have been at Our Lady of the Rosary for two years. I am the director of the Religious Education program from grades 1 through 6 and the R.C.I.A. program ( for adults wanting to receive the sacraments). I also, coordinate the English Infant Baptismal classes.

I hope the information we have given you about the Religious Education Programs will be helpful to you. We are here to be of service and I believe that together we can help each other became more fully human, as Jesus was fully human.
