Parish Festival 2025 - El Festival Parroquial 2025

IT'S FESTIVAL SEASON!

OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

OCTOBER 4 AND 5

This is the time of the year that we start preparing for our Festival.  This page will be updated from time to time to keep you informed on everything you need to know to both enjoy our festival and make it a success.

THE FALL RAFFLE -- IT IS THE BIGGEST PART OF OUR FESTIVAL

TICKETS FOR OUR FALL RAFFLE ARE NOW AVAILABLE.

Tickets are $20.00 each, and come in a book of 5 tickets for $100.00.

Here is what you could win:

Grand Prize:  $10,000.00

First Prize: $1,000.00

Second Prize: $500.00

Third Prize:  $250.00

Plus consolation prizes from local merchants.

What will we do with the proceeds?  The last two years we "earmarked" the proceeds of this very successful raffle for two projects:  the construction of a new parking lot (which we have already completed) and the construction of new restrooms in the church -- a project we are saving towards so we can do it in the future.  This year we are earmarking the funds for another purpose:  repairing and "refreshing" our parish buildings and grounds.  We thought it was important to work on our plant now, as when our parish merges with nearby Corpus Christi Parish in the future, we need to have a more pleasant and functional plant to serve the needs of the combined staff.

Where can you get tickets?

  • In front of the Church after all Masses from now until the Festival.
  • At the Parish Office.

Anything else you should know about the Festival?

When will the festival be open?  Saturday, October 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Who can attend the festival?  Anyone and everyone, from down the street to all around the bay.

What will I find at the festival?  Games, great food, great entertainment, and great fun.  When we have our flyer developed with all the entertainment and a list of booths, we will post it here.  We also have booths staffed with representatives from community organizations so that they can inform you of the programs and services available in our area.

There will be a table in front of the Church every Sunday from now until the Festival where you can take care of all of your festivalistic needs.  It will be staffed by Festival Committee members who will help you with the following:

    • The BIG Raffle: Getting books of tickets to sell, turning in tickets you have sold, and purchasing individual tickets
    • The mini Raffle: Last year we replaced having parishioners purchase items we need as supplies for our festival with a mini raffle.  For a $5.00 ticket parishioners can have a chance at winning a $50.00 gas card.  Proceeds from this raffle will be used to purchase festival supplies.  For more information on the mini raffle, click here.
    • Volunteer Sign-Ups: Want to work in a food booth or the flea market?  Want to help us with set-up or clean-up?  The people at the table can help you decide what you would like to do for the festival and help you sign up.
    • Answers to questions: If you have any questions about the festival, they can be answered at the table by one of the Festival Committee members.

We are now accepting flea market items.  Our flea market is one of the largest revenue producers for our festival, so your donations are very much needed and appreciated.  Bring them by when the Parish Office is open or with you when you come to Mass.

Please remember the items that we don’t accept:

    • Tires
    • Furniture
    • Baby and toddler furniture and equipment
    • Electronics (e.g. televisions)
    • Used “Plush” (stuffed toys)
    • Used clothing and shoes (new ones must have price tags on them)
    • Paints, stains, and other chemicals
  • Other things we can use:  booth sponsorships and business booths.  Here are two other ways you can make the festival more successful.  If you are interested, speak to someone at the table in front of the church
    • Sponsorships: Parishioners and local businesses can sponsor one of the parish’s festival booths at levels from $75.00 up to $150.00.  Donations are acknowledged with a sign in a booth.  Larger sponsorships are also available to cover big expenses, such as the stage.
    • Business Booths:  Do you own a business?  You can promote it by having a Business Booth where you can hand out literature and demonstrate products.  Due to tax regulations, you can gather sales leads but cannot conduct sales at the festival.

Thanks for your support and enjoy “festival season.”
